Darpana offers variety of courses and programs which stretch deep into the areas of Dance, Music and Fitness. We focus on providing high quality multi disciplinary education in the Performing arts and enable creative expression and collaboration.

Discipline

Rules and regulations
1. No toys or Precious jewelry in dance class. Students and parents are responsible for their belongings
2. No one is allowed in class other than dancers.We suggest no parents/caregivers/siblings in the class during the session. Please abide by this rule for it is only to the benefit of your own child!
3. Students should have water bottle handy for small drink breaks, it will be needed and is necessary for dancers to stay hydrated throughout class.
4. Please do not wear street shoes while dancing on the floor! Dance shoes, socks, or bare feet only!
5. Be prompt in arriving and picking up your child. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before class.
6. Children leaving with an adult other than a parent must inform the teacher at drop off.
7. Students and their parents are liable for any damages caused to studio property
8. If the class was not conducted on a particular day, class will be taken in a later day with prior notice.
9. Damage to property by students, friends or family e.g. breaking windows, mirrors, properties etc, will be the responsibility of these parents to replace and repair.
10. All cell phones to be kept in silent mode during class
11. All students are expected to participate in the dance shows and Competitions
12. Kids are requested to bring a note from parents, if they are not willing to take up the acrobatic training
13. Yoga and Acrobatic training is taught to build the dancer’s strength, stamina and flexibility to match with the current world expectations.
14. No photography or videotaping allowed inside the studio, without permission.
15. Irregular attendance, disobedience and disrespect towards the teacher will not be accepted
16. Class choreographies should not be performed outside, without informing/ taking permission from the teachers
17. Lost property will be temporarily held. All belongings must be clearly labelled with student’s full name. Unclaimed lost property will be donated to charity.no responsibility will be taken for personal property
18. Class viewing days: Classes are normally closed to spectators, however classes are open for viewing by parents during the last week of every month. We will let you know the dates of the open days via email or message
19. If a student is willing to participate in competitions / reality shows, please inform the teachers well ahead, so that they can prepare your kids

Students
1. Arrive at least10 minutes before class
2. Attend classes regularly
3. Rehearse and practice at home
4. Stretch regularly to increase flexibility
5. Please be in comfortable attire that supports stretching exercise

Costume
1. All costumes AND Props rented, must be returned on time and in good condition after each performance. [within 2 days]
2. Ifthe item was damaged or spoiled students are expected to replace or pay the fine.
3. Yearly, at least one costume should be purchased for dance performances as per teacher’s choice and student is expected to bare the charges

Time table
1. Classes will be generally 1 hour in length , totes batch will be of 45 minutes and seniors are allowed to take 2 hour class in a stretch which will include the acrobatic session
2. If there is a change in the class schedule, it will be informed through email/ WhatsApp messages

Fees and charge
1. A registration fee of 500 Rs is due at the time of registration and it is non refundable
2. Parents are requested to pay fees on 1st or 2nd class of each quarter.
3. Yearly 4 times fees will be collected [ January, April, July, October]
a. 3 month class fees are payable in advance
b. Students are expected to maintain the fees card [ we are trying to reduce the paper usage ]
4. Missed lessons must be paid for as class overheads are the same whether a particular student attends or not.
5. If extra choreography is required, students are expected to pay extra.
6. One sibling will receive an extra 10% off tuition, each additional sibling after the first will receive 15% off tuition.
